Helping you put your best foot forward

From putting in a hem to altering a dress that doesn’t quite fit. It’s the details that elevate how something fits and how an outfit flows together—and ultimately, how you feel.

As people continue to move away from fast fashion there’s a growing desire to reuse, repurpose, and update. This gives us more value for clothing budgets. This has made repurposing vintage clothes and updating favorite pieces not only a viable option but a great way to express personal style. A common hurdle for many are the skills to make this happen. But this doesn’t need to be the case!

Basic Alterations

Sometimes all you need to elevate how your outfit looks is a slight adjustment to the hem, waist, or the width of the sleeves. Not only was I schooled at my mother’s side (who was educated as a seamstress and dressmaker) but I have personal experience in a wide variety of skills ranging from making my own summer suits and slacks to hemming skirts and adjusting formal gowns.

So what do you need?

Below are listed some pricing guidelines as a starting point. But remember, the most accurate pricing comes with a conversation around what you need.

Pricing is based on the material (linen, wool, lace, etc.) and style (straight or pleated, lined or unlined, embellished or plain) and whether the item is single layered or lined. If there is a lining, both layers will need to be hemmed and/or adjusted.
